Is SEO dead now that Google answers questions itself?

No, but the job has changed. Old SEO chased rank. New SEO chases presence across answer engines, organic listings, and the map pack. The work that wins on one surface usually helps on the others — but each surface has its own rules. That’s why our framework has three layers, not one.
What is GEO and how is it different from SEO?

GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) is the practice of getting your brand cited inside AI-generated answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews. It overlaps with SEO — both reward authority and clarity — but the optimisation targets are different (citation worthiness, source structure, entity relationships) and the metrics are entirely new.
Do I need all three layers, or can I start with one?

Start with the layer closest to your revenue today. For a local business, that’s almost always Local SEO. For a content-led brand, SEO. For a category-defining product, AI Search. Most clients add the second layer within a quarter once the first is paying for itself.
How long before we see results?
